Another Amazing photo that shows the lengths that Sound Designer Ben Burtt went to in order to obtain the massive array of sounds used on the original trilogy films.

This monochrome picture shows Ben Burtt sat in a cart, loaded with an array of sound equipment. He could be recording the engine noises of what looks like a WW2 B52 bomber at an airport. The B52 can clearly be seen in the photo. These recordings would later be used as the basis for the sound effects.

Ben Burtt signed his name in blue marker pen above the aeroplane.
