This is Andrew Ainsworth, Andrew was an industrial Designer around the time George Lucas was looking for someone to produce various helmets etc for New Hope
To tell the whole story would take to long here but by all means Google Andrew Ainsworth Star wars and read his story its fascinating to say the least
Im happy to have added Andrews signature as i feel his contribution to the original film can not be over looked
